Microsoft is not offering a full list of changes

The team working on the Xbox One home console at Microsoft is announcing that a new small update for the New Xbox One Experience that was launched in the fall of 2015 is now live, introducing some tweaks and bug fixes for the user interface and inner workings of the gaming platform.

Unfortunately, neither the official announcement nor the support page for the new release offers an actual list of the issues that have been solved, although the company says that it has based most of the changes on the feedback offered by the community.

Microsoft also makes it clear that no new features are being added to the Xbox One at the moment and that it will have more information about its plans for the NXOE in the coming months.

This lack of transparency is a little troubling, given that many gamers are interested in the changes that are being made via mandatory updates to their devices, and the team could make the effort to offer a full list of future update deliveries.

The New Xbox One Experience is designed to improve the user interface of the platform while integrating it with the bigger Windows 10 ecosystem, making it easier for users to find content, interact with friends, and stream their video game sessions.

Microsoft has said that it wants to introduce more tweaks for the firmware of the home console during 2016 to enable the developers to extract more performance from the hardware and to give gamers more interesting features to explore.

The Xbox One is getting a special Name Your Game bundle

Despite an aggressive marketing strategy and the launch of a high number of bundles, the Microsoft device failed to sell more units than the rival PlayStation 4 from Sony during the important Christmas period.

The company seems to have ruled out the idea of a permanent price cut at the moment and is instead offering some cool bundles, including one featuring Rainbow Six Siege and another that allows gamers to choose the game that they want to get for free.

There are rumors saying that a new lightweight version of the Xbox One, which will lack a disk drive and will get all its content from the Xbox Store, will be announced and launched later in the year for a lower price.

Microsoft is saying that the number of exclusive titles that will be launched this year, starting with Quantum Break from Remedy, will allow the home console to increase its sales and to offer some cool experiences to its fans.

A beta period for Gears of War 4 is set to arrive during spring while the full game will launch during the fall, with a new cast of characters and mechanics designed to use the features of the Xbox One.

Microsoft might also offer more details and even launch the HoloLens augmented reality device in 2016, although there are signs that it is more interested in its business applications than its video game ones, despite the impressive initial demo delivered using Minecraft.
