In January 2016, Fox will bring back the most beloved team of FBI Agents to have ever lived on the small or big screen, Dana Scully and Fox Mulder, the leads of the iconic series “The X-Files.” Working under the tagline “The truth is out there,” the series aired between 1993 and 2002.

It also spanned 2 movies, but fans believed they failed to live to the expectations set up by the series. Still, the same fans never lost hope for a third movie, as it was, until not long ago, the only possibility left to bring actors Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny together once more to reprise their roles.

As luck would have it, this year, revival series are the hottest thing in town, so the fans lucked out: “The X-Files” is coming back and Fox just released 2 new teasers for it.

A full trailer should probably drop soon.

So far, we’ve seen only very little of Scully and Mulder together again, as Fox chose to have the teasers focus on the old series, as an invitation to fans to revisit it before the new episodes premiere. Today, we actually get to see the two interact, while also getting just a taste of the case they’re about to take on.

Series creator Chris Carter serves as executive producer on the new series, while actors Mitch Pileggi and William B. Davis will return as series regulars Skinner and Cigarette Smoking Man.
