Windows 11 comes with massive changes in almost every single regard, as Microsoft wanted to offer a modern experience from one end to another.

Needless to say, this makes perfect sense for an entirely new operating system, especially because Microsoft has promised Windows 11 to be the massive overhaul that users have been dreaming about for years.

In addition to the refreshed UI and new capabilities, Windows 11 will also introduce a modern treatment for the built-in apps, and earlier today, we told you that Microsoft itself has teased the new interface of the revamped Paint app in its official marketing materials published online.

As spotted on reddit, the same materials also include an early look at the overhauled Photos app, which is also getting a visual refresh to align with everything new in Windows 11.

Revamped apps still not part of preview builds

While Windows 11 is already available in the Windows Insider program, Microsoft is yet to release these refreshed apps for testing.

In the meantime, however, the big feature that everybody is waiting to try out is support for Android apps. Windows 11 will be able to run Android apps downloaded through the Microsoft Store from the Amazon Appstore, but this feature is yet to make its way to preview builds.

“We’re also pumped to announce that we are bringing Android apps to Windows for the first time. Starting later this year, people will be able to discover Android apps in the Microsoft Store and download them through the Amazon Appstore – imagine recording and posting a video from TikTok or using Khan Academy Kids for virtual learning right from your PC,” Microsoft said.

A new Windows 11 preview build is expected next week, possibly with new capabilities, including the new modern app spotted online.
