New build is definitely coming out this week, Microsoft says

Gabriel Aul, head of the Windows Insider program, previously announced that the Windows development team was hard at work to bring a new mobile build out this week, but it’s already Thursday and many wonder if the software giant can keep its promise.

All signs point to a release that could take place on Thursday morning in the United States, as Aul has recently confirmed that the team behind the mobile version of Windows 10 still plans to release a new build this week.

Microsoft doesn’t usually release new builds on Mondays, Fridays, and during weekends, so today it’s pretty much the last day when the company can come up with an improved version of Windows 10 Mobile preview.

Aul also explained in a blog post today that Microsoft needed more time to release a new build of Windows 10 Mobile because of the bugs it found in the previous release, so the team had to spend more time fixing issues and improving performance. As a result, the next version should be much more stable and reliable as compared to 10512.

Internal testing

Before a build is released to users, Microsoft performs thorough testing internally, so when bugs are found, each version is sent back and the public launch is delayed.

“As new builds with these fixes passed through our internal rings, we discovered a few issues that we were not comfortable releasing to Windows Insiders until we had fixes for those as well,” Aul went on to say.

Windows 10 Mobile is expected to launch next month, so the next few weeks should bring us more than just one new testing build, as the company continues its testing process in order to fix all the bugs it finds in the operating system. The company has already confirmed that it’s now working on bug fixing and performance improvements, so Windows 10 Mobile is almost feature complete ahead of its grand debut.
