14 DAY TRIAL // Even better for Tom Hardy fans than the promise of a new Tom Hardy film is the promise of a film with him in a dual role. “Legend” isn’t just the story of real-life London gangsters the Kray brothers, but it’s also the project in which Hardy will try to outdo himself in all previous work by delivering a double performance.
Reggie and Ron Kray are two of the most notorious criminals in UK history, and their story has been brought to the screen several times already. However, I daresay not one of the previous films had generated as much buzz as this one.
The latest trailer, available in full and in HD below, should explain why. Hardy is Ron when he’s wearing glasses, and he’s Reggie when he looks more like his real-life self. Reggie was the brains of the operation the Krays set up in London, while Ron was the muscle. He was also pretty insane and occasionally funny, as you can see.
Emily Browning plays Reggie’s love interest, aka the woman who will be trying her best to get him to get out of the gangster life. Chazz Palminteri, Taron Egerton, David Thewlis and Christopher Eccleston also star, with the film set for a UK fall release.
