It’s no secret that OnePlus is preparing to release its latest flagship smartphone, as images and specs depicting the upcoming OnePlus 3 device have been surfacing online for some time now. The most recent image leak shows off the phone’s design, which resembles the one of the HTC 10, which was released this month.

Renowned leakster Evan Blass has published a new render of the OnePlus 3 on his Twitter account @evleaks. The image shows off the smartphone’s design, which seems to borrow some elements from the recently released HTC 10. The phone appears to be made out of metal, confirming previously leaked images.

The images also reveal that the OnePlus 3 will come with a fingerprint scanner placed below the display and will feature a bottom-facing loud speaker and 3.5mm headphone jack. The new phone is expected to sport a 5.5-inch display with 1920 x 1080 pixels and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 64-bit quad-core SoC, but that has yet to be confirmed.

AMOLED display and 3000mAh battery

The leak has also offered some other details on the upcoming device, namely that it would have an AMOLED display and a 3000mAh battery to power its components. It seems that the new information has shut down previous rumors that stated the OnePlus 3 would be coming with a powerful battery of 3500mAh.

It is believed that the new OnePlus 3 will have USB Type-C support, as well as a 2.2GHz Snapdragon 820 processor and 4GB of RAM. Internal storage is set to reach 32GB, and the phone is expected to come with a 16MP rear camera and 8MP on the front. It should run OxygenOS 3.0, which is based on Android Marshmallow 6.0.1.

After launching two flagship phones, the OnePlus One and OnePlus 2, as well as a mid-range smartphone, OnePlus X, Chinese company OnePlus is expected to debut its latest flagship, OnePlus 3, this month. However, some rumors suggest that we might have to wait until July for the new device to be unveiled.
