Out of all smartphones expected to make an appearance during the year’s biggest tech event, Motorola’s Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus are surely some of the worst kept secrets. The G5 Plus appeared on a retailer’s listing recently, and about a month ago, someone even tried to sell a prototype.

All of these leaks have revealed most of the key specs of the smartphone and gave us a clear look at the upcoming device prior to its unveiling, something that doesn’t happen very often in this degree. The latest information comes from a member of a Brazilian Moto G4 community (via Roland Quandt), who posted an image of the Moto G5 Plus and revealed some specs.

He claimed that he tested the device on operator networks, but didn’t reveal more details. Fortunately, the smartphone has a marketing cover over its display, which shows details about key specs.

5.2-inch Full HD display and Direct TV support

Interestingly enough, the Moto G5 Plus portrayed in the image appears to have a 5.2-inch full HD display, while previous leaks pointed to a 5.5-inch screen. It remains to be seen if Motorola will provide the G5 Plus with a smaller display than expected. That being said, it’s larger than that on the standard model, which measures 5 inches.

Moving on, the Moto G5 Plus will run an octa-core 2GHz chipset, possibly the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 and come with NFC, a fingerprint scanner and FM Radio, Digital TV. Apparently, the SIM slot inside the phone has been changed to a nanoSIM slot, an improvement from previous phones that only allowed microSIM cards.

The rear camera on the Moto G5 Plus will have a capacity of 12MP with Rapid Focus feature, PDAF, 4k video recording and f/1.7 aperture. The Sony IMX362 sensor on the phone will support 30fps speeds, while the 5MP Omnivision camera in the front will have an aperture of f/2.2. The rear camera is quite similar to that of Asus’ recently announced ZenFone 3 Zoom.

Battery capacity inside the Moto G5 Plus might reach 3,000mAh with TurboPower charging capabilities. Rumors say that the smartphone will incorporate 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory. The phone is also said to run Android 7.0 Nougat and will be announced during MWC 2017 this month.
