Microsoft continues the work on the Office productivity suite, and most recently, the company shipped a new build for the Windows Beta channel.

The April 1 update brings Office to version 2204 build 15128.20000, and this time, the focus has been specifically on resolving glitches in the apps bundled with the suite.

Microsoft says there are three notable fixes aimed at the entire Office package.

“We fixed an issue with displaying line and fill properties in SVG files. We fixed an issue that would prevent Record Slide Show from working when animation timings were involved. We fixed an issue with sessions being disconnected from RDS session host,” the company explained.

Word fixes

If you’re using Microsoft Word on a regular basis, there’s good news for you too. The Redmond-based software giant explains that this new build comes specifically to resolve a glitch that caused the Live Preview to use a lower zoom level than it was set to.

In other words, if you previously encountered zoom level problems in Live Preview, everything should now be working properly in Microsoft Word.

Then, there’s good news for Excel as well. The company explains this update resolves a problem that caused the app to consume excessive memory, so overall, Excel should now run properly without any performance impact on your device as well.

There’s also a fix specifically aimed at Project.

“We fixed an issue that prevented Gantt chart-type views from fully displaying; this could occur when the view had a drawing object applied to it,” Microsoft explains.

Keep in mind this is a preview build, so chances are it still comes with various bugs that are yet to be fixed. All the aforementioned improvements should go live to production devices sooner rather than later, but for now, they are only available for insiders.
