14 DAY TRIAL // Just recently, Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy Note 7 will be unveiled on August 2, and images of the upcoming device continue to leak. The latest depict the Galaxy Note 7 in Black Onyx color, which actually looks quite sleek.
The new batch of pictures comes from China via Weibo (SamMobile), and it most definitely confirms previous rumors on the smartphone's design. The new images show that the Galaxy Note 7 Black Onyx variant is completely black, including the metal frame.
The variant was also revealed in the press renders that leaked about two weeks ago, but the current pictures unveil the device in a hands-on situation.
The batch of photos also shows the side of the phone, thus revealing its thinness, and there's even a view of the device from the top. None of the leaked images showed the ports on the upcoming Note 7, but rumors say that it will feature USB Type-C port.
Samsung confirms the launch event will be held on August 2
Just recently, Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy Note 7 will be unveiled on August 2 and provided some explanations as to why the company skipped the Note 6. Apparently, the South Korean manufacturer intended to bring the Note in line with the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, thus avoiding any confusion as regards the latest smartphone in the Note series.
An image with the Galaxy Note 7 leaked just yesterday, which isn't surprising since it seems that pictures have started to surface daily. The device is expected to come with a 5.7-inch dual-edge Super AMOELD display with 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution and Snapdragon 821 SoC, which has just been launched. Exynos 8893 SoC will power Note 7 phones released in certain regions.
In addition, the handset might come with 6GB of RAM and multiple variants depending on the internal memory. Indeed, the lowest internal memory will be 64GB, which means that Samsung has decided to give up on a 32GB variant, at least for the Note series. The S Pen stylus could be redesigned, with the highly anticipated iris scanner also appearing in many leaked images of the Galaxy Note 7.
