This is the best shot of the iPhone 7 we got so far

The next iPhone is expected to see daylight in just a couple of months, and here is what could be the best leak of the upcoming model so far. Although we can’t guarantee that this photo is real, even if it’s not, it’s very clear that it’s a well-made fake, as most of the features previously rumored to be available on the device are here too.

The leak comes via Steve Hemmerstoffer, who already keeps good track of iPhone leaks, so there are 50-50 chances that this is real.

As you can see for yourself in the photo, Apple is indeed planning some design changes on the next model, with the antenna lines moved from the back to the top and bottom edges of the phone. This is supposed to give a more clear back look and somehow contribute to the fresh appearance of the device.

Ugly design with white antenna lines

Furthermore, there is a bigger camera cutout, which is also closer to the top left corner, and this confirms that the model pictured here is the 4.7-inch iPhone, as the Plus version is expected to launch with a dual-camera configuration.

Overall, the new model looks just like the typical iPhone, although we can’t help but criticize Apple’s decision to keep the antenna lines white, and not paint them in the same color as the rest of the phone. Samsung has already done that with the S7 lineup, which offered a more consistent design when viewed from all angles, and Apple could achieve the same thing with a similar approach.

Right now, the white antenna lines make the iPhone look like it’d still need some refinements here and there, and there’s no doubt that many still hope that Apple could introduce them by the time the device hits the shelves.

But if this photo is real, the chances are that this model is already in production, so nothing can change anymore before sales officially begin in the fall.
