Apple is projected to take the wraps off the iPhone 12 in September this year and despite the company’s efforts to hide everything until the official launch, the rumor mill has been full of information about this new model lately.

And a few hours ago, someone came up with what they claim to be iPhone 12 molds, which although they don’t reveal everything about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S20 rival, they still show a bunch of very exciting details.

And without a doubt, the most interesting is the general design of the iPhone 12, which appears to be inspired from the iPhone 4, something that so many people would love.

iPhone 4-inspired design

Instead of the curved design, the iPhone 12 could feature flat edges along the sides just like the iPhone 4. If you’re a long-time Apple customer, you probably loved the iPhone 4 too, and in the last few years, more and more people explained how the old-school design with flag edges not only that looked better than the current approach of modern iPhones, but also made it easier to hold the device in hand.

Now it looks like Apple heard the message and the iPhone 12 would respond to all this feedback, making the new models look more like a new-generation version of the iPhone 4.

Certainly, it’s very important to keep in mind this is an unconfirmed tidbit, and a healthy dose of skepticism is obviously required.

Apple is projected to unveil four iPhones this year, and all could use this new design. What we already know is that 5G will be a key feature across the entire lineup. The debut of the new generation is supposed to take place in September, but people close to the matter said that at least one model could hit the shelves at a later time due to production struggles caused by the global health crisis.
