14 DAY TRIAL // Great news for BlackBerry users who want to upgrade to the Priv, as the Canadian company recently released a new application that allows them to transfer content on the new Android smartphone.
The new application is called BlackBerry Content Transfer app and does exactly what the name says. Those who still own BlackBerry 10 handsets will be able to switch to the new Priv smartphone much easier with this application.
According to the listing on BlackBerry World, you will be able to take advantage of Content Transfer's features “to switch to your new PRIV by BlackBerry.
“The Content Transfer app moves data that is saved in the storage space on your BlackBerry 10 (10.2.1 and later) device. Data that is associated with a web-based account, such as contacts and calendar events, is transferred when you add the account to your new device.”

Keep in mind that all the data saved to a media card is transferred when you insert the media card into your new device.
To make sure that the content is kept secure, you will be able to protect the transfer with password encryption using Google Drive, your media card, or a private Wi-Fi network.
BlackBerry also confirmed that the Content Transfer application for BlackBerry 10 device can move the following data from your phone: Contacts, Calendar, Pictures, Videos, Music, Text messages, Notes, Tasks, Documents, and email accounts.
It's worth mentioning that we expect BlackBerry's Content Transfer application to be released in Google Play Store, as well, so that Priv owners can restore their backed content on their new smartphone.
However, since the BlackBerry Priv is not yet available on the market, you can just download the application and wait until you get your hands on the Android smartphone.
