14 DAY TRIAL // Samsung clearly hasn’t done the best job of keeping the Galaxy Folder 2 a secret, considering that almost all of its specs are known and that it has been seen in many leaked images, including promotional pictures.
A new batch of images shows the smartphone from all angles, as well as its packaging. The leaked photos are also accompanied by some details on the device's specs and price. It's important to point out that the new specs confirm previous rumors, and considering that the handset has already received all the relevant certifications, it won’t be long until Samsung announces the Galaxy Folder 2.
The new batch of images have been leaked by Steve Hemmerstoffer, and as said, they come with some details on the specs of the new clamshell phone. Screen size is expected to reach 3.8 inches with a 480 x 800 pixel resolution. The smartphone will have a Super AMOLED display and pack a 1.4GHz Qualcomm processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory.
Samsung Galaxy Folder 2 could be priced at $285
It will draw power from a 1,950mAh battery and come with an 8MP rear camera and 5MP selfie snapper. It's worth noting that the price of the phone could reach $285. You might also want to know that it could be released only in China, but there still is a slight chance that Samsung will make it available in other countries as well.
The smartphone is said to run Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box, and it seems to be coming in at least one color variant, which is gold.
The Galaxy Folder 2 will be an upgrade over the initial Galaxy Folder, which came with less RAM and a less powerful front camera. Battery capacity reached only 1,800mAh, and the device ran Android 5.1 Lollipop.
The Galaxy Folder 2 isn’t the only flip phone that Samsung is putting effort into, as the company is also working on Samsung W2017, codenamed Veyron, which is much more powerful than the Galaxy Folder 2.
