14 DAY TRIAL // Video game developer Visual Concepts and publisher 2K Sports are announcing that they are working with Michael Jordan in order create a Special Edition for NBA 2K16, which is designed to offer fans of basketball a wealth of extra content.
The legendary player, widely seen as the best of all time, is on the new cover of the simulation, and gamers who get the new version of the game will be able to get access to the experience on Friday, September 25, which is four days before the rest of the gamers can get a copy.
Michael Jordan states, "I’m excited about this year’s NBA 2K’s Special Edition. NBA 2K16 allows gamers young and old to not only experience and re-create some of my greatest moments on the basketball court but also customize their players with Jordan shoes and apparel."
The Special Edition for NBA 2K16 includes a big poster featuring Michael Jordan, a Jordan fathead wall cling, shoes, T-shirt and jersey featuring the legendary athlete for the MyPlayer creations, 30,000 of virtual currency for the sim, and access to 3 Emerald Packs and an exclusive Moments Card.
The price of all the extra content is 79.99 dollars or Euro, and it can be bought both as a retail copy and as a digital package.

The three athletes are solid performers in their own right, but Michael Jordan is in another class when it comes to his performance, so a lot of fans will be tempted to get a version of the game that puts him front and center.
Jordan will also be involved in the development of the MyCareer mode in NBA 2K16, which is this year both written and directed by Spike Lee, the well-known film director who is also a major fan of basketball.
The development team has said that it wants to address all the issues that the community has reported with the previous installment, with improved physics, better team collaboration, and upgraded controls.
The biggest competition for NBA 2K16 is the new NBA Live title created by EA Sports, which has Russell Westbrook on the cover.
