Great news for Motorola fans, as the US-based company has just announced that Android 6.0 Marshmallow update is available for two smartphones, Moto X Style and Moto X (2nd Gen).

Unfortunately, the update is only available in Brazil and India for Moto X Style, but Brazil alone for Moto X (2nd Gen). According to Motorola, full deployment will proceed in stages over the next few weeks.

Furthermore, the company has also confirmed that those who own any of the two smartphones won't be able to pull the update, but they should receive a notification on their handsets when Android 6.0 Marshmallow is available for download.

Motorola has made some changes of its own besides the usual improvements and new features included in Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Moto X Style and Moto X (2nd Gen) owners should expect to get a new Memory Manager that allows them to check memory usage of all their installed apps.

Also, volume controls have been further improved, while the DND (do not disturb) button has been added to the quick settings panel for easy access.

2015 Moto X Pure Edition (3rd Gen) is next to receive the update

The System UI Tuner will now appear in the settings menu at the bottom once enabled. With Google Now on Tap, users will be provided with contextual information based on content on their screen. To receive such information, you only need to long-press the home key.

Another new feature included in the update is Expandable Storage support, which, as the name suggests, allows microSD cards to be used either in a portable storage or an internal storage mode.

Motorola also included a RAM manager in settings that allows users to view memory used by the system or a single app over different time frames.

Last but not least, text selection has been improved, and the Automatic App backup will also back up apps' associated data.

Many other additional changes included in the update haven't been mentioned here, so don't forget to check out the full changelog.

In other news, Motorola has announced that it has also started the approval process for 2015 Moto X Pure Edition (3rd Gen), so it should be able to push it in the next couple of weeks.
