Motorola India has just confirmed another launch event where the company is expected to unveil the Moto G Turbo Edition, which was recently released in Mexico.

While there's no word on price yet, there's a high chance that Moto G Turbo Edition will be available for purchase for around $285 around, the same price as the Mexican variant.

The smartphone will be officially introduced in India on December 9 and might go on pre-order the same day. We're not completely sure yet, but the Moto G Turbo Edition might be exclusive to Flipkart, at least for a limited time.

The Moto G Turbo Edition is a decent mid-range smartphone that ships with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system right out of the box. More importantly, Motorola confirmed an Android 6.0 Marshmallow upgrade will be available for this smartphone sometime next year.

A pretty decent improvement over the previous Moto G models

Spec-wise, the rugged handset features IP67 certification, which makes it dust and water resistant (up to 1 meter and 30 minutes).

Aside from that, potential customers should also know that the smartphone sports a 5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating.

The phone comes equipped with a 1.7GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, an Adreno 405 graphics processing unit and 2GB of RAM.

This time around Motorola has decided to include no less than 16GB of storage inside, which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card slot.

Another strong point of the mid-range smartphone is the 13-megapixel photo snapper on the back, which features autofocus, dual-LED (dual tone) flash, and full HD (1080p) video recording. There's also a secondary front-facing 5-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.

Motorola Moto G Turbo Edition is powered by a non-removable 2,470 mAh battery and offers both dual-SIM and 4G LTE support.
