14 DAY TRIAL // Motorola announced the third-generation Moto E3 in the UK just a week ago, and the smartphone is expected to arrive in the UK this fall. Now, it seems that new information points to the fact that the Moto E3 has received FCC certification, which means that it could also debut in the US in September.
Motorola Moto E3 (XT1607) has received FCC approval in the US, which means that the handset will be arriving in the country soon, according to AndroidSoul. The documentation reveals that Moto E3 will pack a removable battery and will have 16GB of internal storage.
It doesn't say whether there will be another variant with a higher memory capacity. However, the device will come with a microSD card for users who need more storage space.
Motorola's Moto E3 is expected to sport a 5-inch display with 720 x 1280 pixel resolution. It should also have an 8MP rear camera while front camera capacity could reach 5MP. Then, the smartphone may draw power from a 2,800mAh removable battery, with a quad-core CPU packed inside too.
3rd-gen Moto E3 comes with Android Marshmallow 6.0
The model released in the UK features a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor and comes with 2GB of RAM. In addition, it runs Android Marshmallow 6.0 out of the box.
Motorola Moto E3 does boast significant improvements over the second-generation model, which had a smaller display of 4.5 inches and came with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating. It also came in two variants, one that had 3G connectivity and a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 200 processor coupled with Adreno 302 graphics processing unit and 1GB of RAM, as well as 8GB of internal memory.
