14 DAY TRIAL // The MWC is the best place for smartphone makers to introduce new products, and during the event hosted last month, Motorola announced the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus. Now it seems that the company is prepared to launch the Moto G5 in another color option.
Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus are available in Lunar Grey and Fine Gold colors, but a batch of recently leaked renders show that Motorola is preparing to launch a Blue Sapphire color for the standard Moto G5.
The back panel on the Moto G5 variant is Sapphire Blue, but bezels on the front panel are still black. This gives the phone a more stylish and unified look. But that doesn’t mean that the front panel on the Sapphire Blue Moto G5 is the same as on the black variant.
The phone’s side buttons are blue, while the earpiece speaker also features blue hues around its edges. The slightly curved blue back panel is also visible from the front, hinting at the phone’s Sapphire Blue color.
Sapphire Blue Moto G5 will arrive in the UK
The Sapphire Blue Moto G5 will be available in the UK, via O2 Refresh program, while its price should be the same as for the other variants of Moto G5, about €200 in Europe.
Specs inside this color variant will stay the same, which means that the phone features a 5.0-inch Full HD display with 441ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass 3, water-repellant nano-coating, and diamond cut aluminum exterior.
Aside from this, the smartphone comes with either 16 or 32GB of internal storage, and runs an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC, clocked at 1.4GHz with 2 or 3GB of RAM. Its 2,800mAh battery is removable and the Moto G5 features rapid charging features and runs Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box. Rear camera capacity is 13MP with f/2.0 aperture, while the front shooter is 5MP with f/2.2 aperture.
