Images and specs of the upcoming Moto G phones continue to surface online on a daily basis. Just yesterday, pictures of the Moto G4 leaked online. Now, it seems that new ones, depicting the Moto G4 Plus, have stolen the spotlight, this time revealing the retail box and confirming the specs of the upcoming device in Motorola’s next-gen Moto G series.

Just hours before the official release of next-gen Moto G phones, images of the retail box for Moto G4 Plus leaked on Victor Bobari’s Google+ account. They confirm earlier leaks and provide some important information about Moto G4 hardware specifications. Judging by the language on the box, it seems that the leak came from Mexico.

The image of the box reveals the front portion of the Moto G4 Plus, thus matching earlier leaked images that showed the square home button on the front. The button is most likely the fingerprint sensor, incorporated for user authentication. The images also show that the retail box packs a back panel Motorola shell or bumper for free.

The back side of the retail box comes with some hardware specifications on the phone, mainly detailing that it sports a 5.5-inch Full HD display with an unspecified Octa-core processor and 2GB of RAM. Internal storage could reach 32GB. Earlier leaks revealed that the Moto G4 Plus could have 3GB of RAM, but today’s leaks confirm the 2GB version.

Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus will be unveiled today

Rear camera capacity reaches 16MP with PDAF and 5MP on the front. It arrives with a battery of 3000mAh with support for Turbo Power, a fast-charging feature that provides hours of power in just minutes.

Images of the actual Moto G4 Plus also leaked in the same account, revealing the standard ‘M’ Moto logo on the back panel of the smartphone. They also show the pill-shaped camera module, which includes dual tone flash and laser autofocus. The handset will also run Android Marshmallow out of the box, and will boast 4G LTE support, WiFi, and Bluetooth.

The next-gen of Moto G smartphones are expected to be released today, in an event organized both in New Delhi and Mexico.
