The time has come for the fiercest hunters to take on new challenges in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne. Capcom has just released the third free title update for the Iceborne expansion on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. If you play on PC, you'll be getting the update on April 8, along with a new seasonal event.

The update introduces two new variant monsters – Furious Rajang and Raging Brachydios, which are far more dangerous than their regular counterparts. Furious Rajang can now pin hunters with its attacks and has even fewer weak points to exploit. Raging Brachydios is all coated in volatile slime, which hunters can clean out by attacking specific body parts. This dangerous variant of the Brachydios can trap hunters in a cage from where they can't escape.

Hunters who are brave enough to attempt and successfully finish these encounters will be rewarded with materials that can be used to forge new top-tier Palico gear, weapons, armors featuring new set bonus skills, and decorative pendants.

Also, Title Update 3 brings players layered weapons, which alter the appearance of weapons without impacting their stats. This is just the first round of layered weapons that players can use to customized their weapons, but come April, weapons with unique designs will join the layered weapon pool.

The Hunter Helper has been completely redesigned and now features increased monetary rewards when assisting hunters with a lower Master Rank, and enhanced drop rates of receiving rare decos through Carved Feystones, while other regular quests award King Armor Spheres.

A new tool called Banishing Ball is now available for hunters in Guiding Lands, which can be used to force unwanted monsters out of a region immediately while on a hunt. A new set of monster figures, music options, and décor are now available for Your Room.

On April 9, a new Seliana seasonal event will debut on both PC and consoles, along with Full Bloom Fest, and simultaneous content updates for all platforms going forward. The event introduces a new Poogie costume, seasonal Palico gear, pendants, paid seasons Handler costume, and new guild card options.

Moreover, during Full Bloom Fest, log-in bonuses and bounties will offer tickets for crafting a special event armor, in addition to brand new quests that provide materials for layered headgear based on the rare endemic creature Downy Crakes, and a pair of Whetfish Dual Blades.

As far as future updates go, Capcom revealed that in April, it will add the Master Rank version of Kulve Taroth, and the Arch-Tempered Namielle. The new Kulve Taroth Event Quest provides groups of four hunters the chance to gather upgrade materials that can bring the High Rank siege's gear up to Master Rank. Last but not least, a new Elder Dragon, Alatreon will arrive sometime in May.
