The game is now available for purchase for $4.99

Are you ready for the adventure of a lifetime in the world of Minecraft? The folks over at Telltale Games, makers of The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones and The Wolf Among Us, have just announced that their new game, Minecraft: Story Mode, is now available on Android and iOS platforms.

The game was initially launched on PC, Mac and consoles about two days ago, but beginning today Android and iOS users will be able to purchase Minecraft: Story Mode through Google Play Store, Amazon Appstore and Apple's App Store.

According to publisher Mojang, only the first episode out of five will be available for download on all platforms. If you decide to purchase the season pass, you will be able to save 25% on additional episodes in Minecraft: Story Mode.

Anyway, the first episode is called The Order of the Stone. The game allows players to choose play as male or female hero named Jesse.

Not your average Minecraft game

In Minecraft: Story Mode, players will be able to drive the story through the decisions they make: what you say to people (and how you say it), and what you choose to do in moments of thrilling action will make this truly your story.

Developers also confirmed that Minecraft: Story Mode season would feature Patton Oswalt as male Jesse, Catherine Taber as female Jesse, Brian Posehn, Ashley Johnson, Scott Porter, Martha Plimpton, Dave Fennoy, Corey Feldman, Billy West, John Hodgman, and Paul Reubens.

You can now download Minecraft: Story Mode – Episode 1: The Order of the Stone for Android for $4.99 via Google Play store. The game should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Android 2.3.3 and up.

For iOS players, the game can be downloaded for the same price via App Store. It should run smoothly on all devices powered by iOS 7.1 or later.
