We knew that HTC planned to launch more than one version of its flagship smartphone, but we didn’t know that the Taiwanese company would use a different chipset for one of the variants.

However, it looks like the cheapest version of HTC 10 won’t pack the powerful quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor inside. Instead, Chinese blog MyDrivers reports that one particular version of HTC 10 will come equipped with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor.

Furthermore, the smartphone will not include 4GB of RAM as the standard model does. HTC 10 with Snapdragon 652 CPU will come with just 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory. Hopefully, the flagship will also include microSD card slot for memory expansion.

The same source that confirms the existence of this mid-range version of HTC 10 also claims the smartphone will cost around $585 outright.

Aside from the Snapdragon 652-based HTC 10, the Taiwanese company will launch two other models that will be more expensive.

For example, the most pricey HTC 10 will cost $905, but it will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, coupled with an Adreno 530 graphics processing unit, 4GB of RAM, and no less than 128GB of internal memory.

Another HTC 10 variant that will come equipped with a Snapdragon 820 processor, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage will cost around $770.

HTC 10 is rumored to hit shelves on April 15

Keep in mind, though, that these prices are only available for the Chinese market, so they might be slightly higher in other countries.

HTC 10 is expected to be officially unveiled on April 12. Also, the handset should go on sale 3 days later, on April 15, but this information has yet to be confirmed by HTC.

As for the rest of the phone’s specs, they should be the same for all three variants, including the 5.15-inch Super LCD 5 capacitive touchscreen display that supports Quad HD resolution and the 12-megapixel rear-facing camera.

The flagship will ship with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system right out of the box, and it will be powered by a 3,000 mAh battery.
