14 DAY TRIAL // Microsoft appears to be working on another Windows 10 application that’s currently being tested by the company behind closed doors and that could be released to users very soon.
This is a delivery tracking application that will allow you to keep an eye on your packages, and most likely, Microsoft will make it universal, which means it’ll be available on both PCs and smartphones, offering the same features and UI.
For the moment, there is absolutely no description available for the app, and the store listing shows that it’s just internally tested, so it could take a while until it is released for users of Windows 10.
As you can see in this screenshot, which was published in the store, the app comes with an easy-to-use interface that includes not only quick access to your packages but also information on the current location, departure, and arrival.
Included features
A map to see the route of the package is also provided, and so is a listing that lets you check estimated delivery and current status for each item.
According to reviews posted in the store, which are most likely written by Microsoft employees who have already tested the app, the Delivery tool will include support for the most popular shipping services in the US, but no specifics are provided.
“Great transitions, very smooth and stable app. Picked up all the shipper services without me having to select the service - which is a BIG plus seeing as my main tracking app doesn't. AND it synced across my Lumia and Surface without making me go through any sign-ins! Hard to tell this is in beta because it feels like it's ready for primetime,” one commenter writes.
Another one hints this is clearly designed to be universal.
“I installed on my phone and put a few tracking numbers jn. Looks great. Then install on my surface and the app already had them. Lovely. Can't wait to get another tracking number.”
For the moment, the app can be downloaded by any Windows 10 user, but not all features are available.
