Redmond’s hiding details about the event in the page source

Microsoft has started sending out invites for a hardware event on October 6, and everyone believes this is the right time for the company to introduce the new Surface Pro 4, the Band 2, and the new Lumia 950 and 950 XL, its first phones with Windows 10 Mobile.

And while the company has remained completely tight-lipped on the products that could be unveiled at this event, information posted in the source code of its website provides us with a glimpse into the product lineup that might take the stage on October 6.

As WMPU notes, the meta section of the website reads the following:

"Windows 10 devices, Windows devices, Microsoft Band, Microsoft Surface, Lumia, Live stream, Windows announcement, Windows Phone"

The original announcement doesn’t say anything about these products, but everyone knows that Microsoft has been working on these devices for a while and is expected to unveil them anytime soon. So the October 6 event actually makes sense, not just because Microsoft is hiding such information in the page source but also because this is the right moment to bring new devices to the market.

Windows 10 Mobile and new phones

Right now, Windows 10 Mobile is still in the works, but Microsoft’s expected to finalize development in the next few weeks, ahead of the public launch in October.

Both the Lumia 950 and the Lumia 950 XL will come with this OS pre-installed, so by the time the company shows them to us for the first time, work on the project needs to be completed, which means that Redmond has three more weeks to do that.

The second-generation Band is also expected to make an appearance, but again, details on this project are very scarce. And so are those for the Surface Pro 4, the successor to the Surface Pro 3, which could arrive in two different setups, with a 12-inch and 14-inch screen, both featuring advanced hardware and running Windows 10.
