Many of the companies that have iOS apps have been working hard to add support for some of the new features Apple introduced in the latest version of the operating system.

Microsoft is no exception to this, and recently released updates for the Office suite that's now available for download in the App Store.

So, Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications have received updates that add new features and improvements. As mentioned earlier, some of these features will only work on iOS 9, so they won't be available until your iPhone or iPad is upgraded to the latest version of the OS.

It's also worth mentioning that the changelog is no different between these apps, which means the updates bring the same new features and improvements.

First of all, iOS users should be pleased to know that the update implements multitasking support, so they will now be able to get tasks done quicker by running Word for iPad side by side with other apps.

Working in Word and Excel at the same time, copying stuff from one app to another should now be very easy with multitasking support.

Keyboard shortcuts and Vietnamese language localization

Also, the update introduces some keyboard shortcuts, which users won't need to learn since they can tap the Command key on the external keyboard to get an overview of all shortcuts.

Furthermore, Microsoft confirmed it has added mirrored UI (user interface) in Arabic and Hebrew, which means all three Office apps now have a mirrored UI when the device language is set to one of the choices mentioned earlier.

Last but not least, developers added Vietnamese language. Some other bug fixes and under-the-hood improvements may have been included too.

You can now download Word, Excel and PowerPoint for iOS for free via App Store. All three applications should be fully compatible with all devices powered by iOS 8.0 or later. Keep in mind though that some of the features will only work on devices running iOS 9 or newer.
