Microsoft has recently launched a new Windows 10 Mobile device that impressed everyone with its looks and now it appears that the company is planning to roll out the same model in the United States.

Currently available in Europe and a few other markets, Lumia 650 is considered one of the most eye-appealing Windows 10 Mobile devices released so far, coming with metal sides and a very premium look despite the fact that it’s quite affordable.

According to the official Lumia US Twitter account, Microsoft is now planning an announcement for the US market and the chances are that it’s related to Lumia 650’s availability in this market.

“Please stay tuned. We’ll be posting some official updates on social media later this week,” Microsoft said on Twitter when answering a question regarding Lumia 650’s possible launch in the US.

Lumia 650 specs

Leaving looks aside, Lumia 650 comes with average specs, but as Microsoft said, it’s specifically developed to be a phone aimed at businesses from the very beginning.

The device features a 5.0-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 720x1280 pixels and Gorilla Glass 3, and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 processor. It sports 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal space (microSD card support is also offered in case you need more storage).

As far as cameras are concerned, the Lumia 650 comes with an 8-megapixel main unit, plus a 5-megapixel front facing one for selfies and video calls. The device also includes a removable 2,000 mAh battery that should easily get you through the day, plus a microUSB port for charging and data transfers.

An official announcement regarding the launch in the United States should be provided very soon, along with pricing information and carriers that might offer it (although an unlocked version is also very likely).
