Note synchronization to be offered across devices

Sticky Notes is becoming a more widely-adopted application in Windows 10, and Microsoft’s frequent updates certainly play a key role for this.

Most recently, the company rolled out Microsoft account support, technically enabling note synchronization across multiple devices on Windows 10.

And now the software giant is taking this feature a step further by announcing that Sticky Notes would become available on iOS and Android devices too. With such functionality, users will have their notes in sync on all their devices, regardless of the operating system that’s powering them.

Microsoft says Sticky Notes will also sync with OneNote, so all your notes will be available in the Office app too, both on the desktop and on mobile.

“Sticky Notes has a big heart 💖! Apart from @Windows10, you will soon find your @StickyNotes on #OneNote, #Outlook, #Android and #iOS. Stay tuned for more details and happy note-taking, everyone!” Microsoft's Reza Jooyandeh announced today.

No ETA for the mobile launch

Beginning this week, Sticky Notes 3.0 is also broadly available for all Windows 10 devices. It requires Windows 10 April 2018 Update or newer, and it can be downloaded and installed from the Microsoft Store.

Sticky Notes coming to iPhone and Android is big news, especially as Microsoft has become very committed to making its apps available on mobile devices too.

Furthermore, on phones with stylus support, as it’s the case of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9, Sticky Notes could come in very handy for quick note taking, despite the fact that such devices typically come with such applications in this regard.

No ETA has been provided as to when Sticky Notes could go live on these platforms, but expect beta builds to be released very soon. In the meantime, you can try out Sticky Notes on your Windows 10 devices, and make sure that you update to version 3.0 to enjoy all the benefits.
