Microsoft has released another update for the OneDrive app on iOS, this time providing the iPhone with an exclusive feature that makes it easier to discover files that are relevant to your activity.

Now at version 9.0.1, the official OneDrive app for iPhone and iPad makes it possible to instantly discover the files that interest you, according to Microsoft’s own description in the App Store.

This means that with work and school accounts, users are able to get quick access to relevant content accessed by other users by simply going to the Shared tab and tapping the Discover pivot.

“Using a work or school OneDrive account? We added a new view to help you discover new, relevant files based on the intelligence of who you work with and the content that you work on. Take a look at this personalized content by going to the Shared tab and sliding over to the Discover pivot,” Microsoft explains.

Feature being rolled out gradually

This feature is currently being rolled out to users across the world, so it might not be available right now, but you should check back in a couple of days to see if it shows up.

The OneDrive app for iOS is getting regular updates, and Microsoft keeps improving it with exclusive features that at some point land on other platforms as well, including Android.

This isn’t necessarily the case of Windows 10 Mobile, as Microsoft’s own mobile operating system is more and more being left behind, with the focus currently on the world’s two most popular mobile platforms.

Microsoft’s OneDrive app requires iOS 9.0 or later and can be installed on iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. it’s currently one of the most popular iOS apps launched by the software giant, with more than 24,000 ratings in the App Store and an overall score of 4 stars. The current version has nearly 500 ratings and a final score of 4.5 stars.
