If you are thinking to upgrade to Windows 10 but still can’t decide whether the new OS is the right choice for you, Microsoft has an ongoing marketing campaign that’s supposed to provide you with 10 reasons to install the new OS and that should help you get the right answer to your question.

Yesterday the company said that the main reason for upgrading to Windows 10 is the fact that it’s familiar, and today it comes back with one of the key features introduced in the new OS: Cortana.

The personal assistant will make its debut on the PC with Windows 10 on July 29, and Microsoft bets big on it, especially because it has much more ambitious plans for the future as far as the platforms it’s available on are concerned.

Cortana will make its debut not only on Windows 10 PCs but also on Android and iOS devices, promising a similar experience across all of them. Some features, such as Hey Cortana, won’t work on Android and iOS because of the OS limitations, but otherwise, Cortana should be very similar on all platforms.

More improvements to Cortana

Yesterday Microsoft announced that Cortana for Windows 10 would become available in more countries, revealing that the personal assistant was tweaked to reflect the local language and culture, so it would give personalized answers, depending on the country you live in.

“Cortana is customized to reflect the local language, idioms and speech patterns of each country. We craft Cortana’s local personality based on insights about each culture while at the same time staying true to the foundational principles that are universal to all markets: Cortana is positive, confident, intelligent and transparent,” Microsoft explained.

In addition to the US, UK, China, France, Italy, Germany, and Spain, Cortana will also become available in Japan, Canada, India, Brazil, and Mexico.
