After staying in beta for several weeks, Microsoft’s Arrow Launcher version 3.0 is now available for download for all users, while the company also pushed build 3.1 to beta development stage.

As we told you a few days ago, Microsoft describes Arrow Launcher version 3.0 as “the biggest release yet,” explaining that it comes with major new features and improvements for Android devices.

There’s a completely new utility page that allows users to pin “cards” as individual pages, so they can keep track of battery life or other resources just like they’d configure a widget. Additionally, the apps page now supports the ability to scroll vertically and horizontally, which is a feature that should primarily come in handy when switching from portrait to landscape views on a regular basis.

Just like before, Microsoft describes Arrow Launcher as a productivity tool, as it puts the emphasis on your apps and provides a faster way of accessing apps installed on an Android device.

“Productivity meets style. Arrow is the personal launcher from Microsoft Garage that offers a radical simplification of the Android experience. Arrow is lightweight, fast and efficient. With Arrow, you can personalize your device so that it matches your style. Customize icon packs, home page layouts, wallpapers, and more. With the Bing wallpaper of the day feature, you will have a fresh new look every day,” Microsoft says.

Version 3.1 beta

What’s also important for beta testers is that Microsoft has already started development of version 3.1 and a change log was posted in the Google Play Store, though this build is not yet ready for download.

The new beta brings tablet support and landscape mode on tablets, with the company saying that it wants feedback for this feature in particular, as well as options to select what to back up and restore in the app. Arrow Launcher 3.1 also supports more IM app messages in Recent page and integrates several bug fixes.

Of course, you can download Arrow Launcher for Android right now, and if you want to try out the latest betas, you need to register for the program here.
