All eyes are on Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile these days, but Microsoft is still working to bring its latest Windows Phone updates on Lumia devices across the world, and today it’s India’s turn to receive some goodies for select Lumia phones.

According to a report by WindowsCentral, Lumia 830, Microsoft’s affordable flagship device, is now getting Windows Phone 8.1 Update 2, the new OS version that was launched earlier this year as pre-installed on Lumia 640 and 640 XL (and which has been released to more handsets since then).

Lumia 830 devices getting the new OS update are also receiving a firmware update, but it’s not yet clear which exactly are the changes included in this release. The new OS version of Lumia 830 is 8.10.15148.160, while the firmware version has reached 02177.00000.15184.36003.

Lumia 930 and 1520, Microsoft 5-inch and 6-inch flagships, respectively, have also received new firmware updates, with their versions now at 02540.00019.15236.45004.

It appears that these two high-end phones now get 4G connectivity in India, but Microsoft is yet to provide official confirmation of this.

In the meantime, Microsoft continues work on the new flagships, which, according to the company itself, will arrive later this year with Windows 10 Mobile, but no other specifics have been provided. Some say that they could be the new Lumia 940 and 940 XL, both of which are expected to come with very advanced hardware, including support for the new Continuum for Phones features that basically turn every single handset into a mini PC when connected to a Windows 10 computer.

Microsoft is yet to provide any specifics on the flagships that it plans to launch, but the company has already said that it wants to focus on only three mobile categories (value phones, business devices, and flagships), and expect at least two models for each of them to launch every 12 months.
