Microsoft has just released a new Windows 11 preview build to users in the Dev channel, and of course, it comes with lots of changes that insiders will probably have a great time trying out.

Windows 11 build 22572 is therefore available for download as we speak, and one of the most important changes is the graduation of Microsoft Family and Clipchamp to the state of inbox apps.

The Search in Windows 11 is also getting search highlights, and Microsoft says it has also introduced a new Microsoft Defender preview in the United States.

Microsoft is also announcing a Bug Bash that will kick off next week and whose role is specifically to help the company iron out the latest glitches and improve the overall experience with Windows 11.

“From March 16th to March 22nd, we will be having a Bug Bash covering our latest Insider Preview builds – keep an eye on the Feedback Hub under the Announcements section where we will be posting more details closer to the date. Insiders who participate in the Bug Bash by completing Quests and filing feedback during this time will be awarded a Bug Bash badge in Feedback Hub,” Microsoft says.

Known issues in this build

Worth knowing is this build still comes with a series of known issues, including a glitch that could prevent some users from upgrading directly to this build. This is a problem that was confirmed in an earlier release but which still impacts build 22572 as well.

“Users running Windows 10 who try to upgrade directly to build 22563 or higher in the Dev Channel may encounter an install failure with error code 0x8007007f. To bypass, please join the Beta Channel, install the offered Windows 11 build there, and then switch to the Dev Channel to receive the current Dev Channel update. This issue is understood and will be fixed in an upcoming build,” Microsoft says.

The new build can be downloaded from Windows Update right now if you’re part of the Dev channel.
