14 DAY TRIAL // Microsoft has just rolled out new cumulative updates for Windows 10, this time as part of the Patch Tuesday cycle that takes place every month.
All Windows 10 versions are getting cumulative updates this month, but the most important are the following: KB4471332 for Windows 10 version 1809, KB4471324 for Windows 10 version 1803, and KB4471329 for Windows 10 version 1709.
And given that they are published on Patch Tuesday, these updates include both security and non-security improvements, and users are recommended to install them as soon as possible, especially because they resolve vulnerabilities in Microsoft products.
In terms of security fixes, these updates come with the typical fixes for Windows 10 and the built-in modules, and these include Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer, the Windows Graphics component, the Windows kernel, and others.
Version 1809 also getting an update
As for the rest of the changes, they come with various improvements and bug fixes, all supposed to refine the experience in Windows 10 overall. You can check out the full changelogs in the box after the jump to see what’s changed in each update.
At the time of writing this article, the rollout is still in its early minutes and we haven’t seen any failed installs just yet. We already successfully updated our devices running Windows 10 version 1803 and 1809 and everything seems to be working correctly, though as we know, it takes some time for the first reports of failed install to make the rounds.
Windows 10 version 1809 is one particular highlight this month, as it’s getting another cumulative update. The rollout of version 1809 to devices across the world continues, as Microsoft re-released it in November after previously pulling the update in early October due to a major bug.
