Several apps got updated this morning on Windows 10

New day, new set of updates for Windows 10 users. This time, Microsoft has rolled out improvements to three different apps part of the MSN bundle and pre-installed on the operating system running on PCs and smartphones.

As you can see in the screenshot included in this article, the store prompted us to update MSN News, MSN Weather, and MSN Sports, all three apps being offered as pre-installed on Windows 10 (Candy Crush Soda Saga has also received an update, and it’s pre-installed in Windows 10 as well, but it’s not developed by Microsoft).

Just as it did in the last few weeks, Microsoft hasn’t offered a change log for this new app update, but it’s safe to assume that the company focused on fixing bugs and performance improvements.

Still no change log with app updates

In fact, that’s what Microsoft itself suggested when it explained its decision not to release change logs with app updates, saying that such information would be provided only when bigger updates are shipped. Unless there’s something really worth mentioning, no change log is offered, so these updates are mostly about bug fixes and performance improvements.

Out of these three, the Weather app is generally the most popular on Windows 10, mostly because it comes with a really good-looking live tile that shows the weather right in the Start menu.

Some bugs have already been confirmed by users in the previous versions, including a problem causing the app to display incorrect temperature information below a certain level, so this update might be supposed to fix it on all devices running Windows 10.

As usual, these updates are shipped through the store, and if you’re still running the default store configuration, they might already be there on your PC. Otherwise, launch the store and look in the Downloads and updates section to install them manually. The sooner, the better, especially if they fix bugs.
