Several apps received improvements this morning

Microsoft has committed to a faster update release cycle for Windows 10, so the pre-installed OS applications receive improvements on a regular basis through the integrated Windows Store.

Today, it's one of those days when Microsoft releases Windows 10 app updates without saying a thing about what's fixed, so in case you're already on the new operating system, just fire up the store, look for the updates, and install them right away.

There's no change log available for the time being, so it's safe to assume that all these updates are actually bringing performance optimizations and bug fixes, which means that everyone's recommended to install them as soon as possible.

Both the Get Started and the Windows Calculator have received their very first updates since the release of Windows 10, as all the others you can see in the screenshot have already got improvements in the last couple of weeks.

No change log unless it's a big update

In case you're wondering how come Microsoft no longer provides change logs for the updates it releases, the company says that, starting with Windows 10, information on what has been changed in every release will only be provided as long as it involves a major update.

If the update only brings minor improvements and small fixes, there's no need for release notes, the company has said when talking about OS updates. It appears that the very same strategy is being adopted for app updates too.

“As we have done in the past, we post KB articles relevant to most updates which we’ll deliver with Windows as a service. Depending on the significance of the update and if it is bringing new functionality to Windows customers, we may choose to do additional promotion of new features as we deploy them,” a Microsoft spokesperson is quoted as saying.

So despite the fact that no change logs are available, you're recommended to go download Windows Calculator and Get Started apps right away to be up to date.
