Microsoft is betting big on its Android apps, and needless to say, the official Bing client is part of this strategy as well.

And it all makes sense. Microsoft is also an Android device manufacturer given the Surface Duo is already up for grabs in a growing number of countries, so the software giant must be sure all of its apps are sporting the feature lineups customers expect to get when installing them.

The Bing app is one of the tools that keep evolving, and the most recent version is the living proof in this regard.

Hello, new Bing!

First and foremost, Bing has a new approach, and while it’s still focused on the searching experience, it’s now offering a customized homepage that could come in much handier to users out there.

The new home screen provides one-tap access to news and articles, as well as quick shortcuts to other Microsoft services. Of course, this is something that comes in super-handy especially for those who are fully committed to the Microsoft app and service ecosystem.

Then, the Bing app now comes with weather integration, a COVID tracker, a visual search, sports support, rewards, wallpapers, and a built-in translator.

In addition, Bing also offers voice search, so you can just tap the mic icon and then use your voice to search for a specific keyword online.

“Microsoft Bing helps you find trusted search results fast, tracks topics and trending stories that matter to you, and gives you control of your privacy. Skip typing and search with your voice, your camera, or a picture from the web,” Microsoft explains.

The new app is already available for download, but certain features are only live for users in the United States, the UK, Canada, Australia, France and a few other regions.
