New theme now up for grabs from the Store

If you’re searching for an easy way to customize your Windows 10 desktop, Microsoft really wants you to look no further than the Microsoft Store, as this is the place where you’re supposed to find a plethora of themes developed with this purpose in mind.

And because the software giant doesn’t want to miss any occasion to provide its users with custom themes, there’s a new addition up for grabs on Windows 10 that’s more or less aimed at those living in China.

Simply called “Year of the Pig,” this new theme comes with a collection of 20 high-resolution wallpapers and celebrates the new Chinese year that starts on February 5, 2019.

“Celebrate the beauty of China and the Year of the Pig festivities in this 20-image wallpaper set, free for Windows 10 Themes. These images are to be used as Desktop Wallpaper only,” the brief description of the theme published in the Microsoft Store reads.

Wallpapers only

As this text reads, there’s no other customization included in the pack, and what you get is this collection of wallpapers only. While themes have previously come with a series of other tweaks, like sounds and custom cursors, this is no longer the case of Windows 10 where Microsoft’s own packs rely exclusively on desktop backgrounds.

You’re going to need Windows 10 Fall Creators Update to get this theme from the Microsoft Store – older Windows 10 versions are no longer supported anyway, so that shouldn’t be an issue in any way.

Once you install the theme from the Microsoft Store, you can enable it by heading over to Settings > Personalization > Themes on your Windows 10 device. Just make sure you save your current desktop so you can return to it at a later time.
