Microsoft is expected to launch a new Windows 10 Mobile preview build this week, but that's not the only thing that should excite Insiders.

It appears that the company plans something special for the next build, though no specifics on the matter have been shared until now.

Microsoft's Gabriel Aul confirmed that they planned on doing something new that they hadn't done before with new Windows 10 Mobile preview builds.

However, he did not say what this was all about, but he did confirm that we’d get more details on the subject later today (Seattle AM time).

Should we be hyped by Microsoft’s unusual tease?

The Redmond-based company has been pushing new Windows 10 Mobile preview builds at least twice per month, which kind of makes sense since we're only a few months away from the official release of the new operating system.

Unfortunately, most Windows Insiders have been slightly frustrated by the fact that these new builds bring too few improvements and new features into the mix.

With not so much time left until December when Microsoft is expected to launch Windows 10 Mobile, most feel that the OS is still far from the final version.

Hopefully, Microsoft will be pushing more and more features and improvements in the last couple of weeks, though there's also the possibility of getting more of these after the official release of the OS.

The last two Windows 10 Mobile preview builds were pushed with a bug that did not allow Windows Insiders to upgrade unless they go back to Windows Phone 8.1.

The good news is this issue has already been fixed in future version of Windows 10 Mobile, so if you're a Windows Insider, you will be pleased to know that you won't have to go back to a previous version of Windows Phone.
