Moment 3 could be the one to help on this front

Windows 11 is evolving at a super-fast pace, and the upcoming feature updates that Microsoft is already working on could push the operating system to a completely new level.

This is because Windows 11 is at one point supposed to feel at home on foldable PCs, and according to a recent report, the Moment 3 update that should go live next year would pave the way for big improvements on this front.

As it turns out, Microsoft wants to prepare Windows 11 for single-screen and dual-screen form factors, so it wants Moment 3 to include the initial code that would help the operating system adapt to this new product category.

The Moment 3 update is expected to ship in May or June next year, though the timing could easily change if something doesn’t go as planned.

Windows 11 version 22H2 still rolling out

In the meantime, the software giant is working hard on expanding the availability of Windows 11 version 22H2.

The last update that was published by Microsoft in October revealed that users could download the new Windows 11 release by simply checking for updates in Windows Update.

“We are entering a new phase of the rollout for Windows 11, version 22H2 and we are increasing its availability to all who check for updates on eligible Windows devices. Note that, if we detect that your device might have an issue, such as an application incompatibility, we might put a safeguard hold in place and not offer the update until that issue is resolved. Information regarding safeguard holds is available below on this page. Users who are interested in experiencing the latest feature update can choose to do so by opening Windows Update Settings and selecting Check for updates. If your device is ready, you will see the option to Download and install,” the software giant said.

Most of the changes that will be part of the Moment updates shipping next year are currently part of the Dev channel builds shipped as part of the Windows Insider program.
