Microsoft Outlook is by far one of the best, if not really the best, email clients on the market, and the new updates released by the software giant add new functionality that users have been drooling over for a long time.

The latest update for Microsoft Outlook on Android, for example, introduces new options for notifications, thus allowing you to decide the actions that you want to run without having to open the app.

Here’s how the whole thing works.

When you receive a new email and the notification shows up on your device, Outlook allows you to perform certain actions straight from the notification itself. You can schedule, delete, archive, or reply to the email.

And beginning with the latest Android update for Outlook, users can configure the two of all these actions that would show up in the notification.

I, for one, always go for the delete button, as I like to keep things organized in the inbox, and given that I receive a lot of emails that I don’t need, I can just remove them without having to open the app.

The whole thing is possible right from the lock screen using the Outlook notification, so without a doubt, this new update is more than welcome.

If you still don’t believe that Outlook is worth trying out, maybe the download stats published in the Google Play Store are enough to convince you. Right now, Outlook has more than 100 million installs from the Google Play store alone, and the figure does not include the installations powered by the dedicated APK file on Android.

Furthermore, the app has a rating of 4.4 points out of a maximum of 5, with more than 5 million people already submitting their review for the app in the Google Play Store.
