The latest update for Microsoft Office suite brings some exciting new features for Android users, but also lots of improvements and bug fixes.

If you haven't taken advantage of this package yet, then you should know that the Office suite for Android contains three apps: Word, Excel and PowerPoint. The good news is each of these apps have been updated with new features and improvements.

But let's start with Microsoft Office, which now supports Android M for Enterprise and complies with Android for Work. In addition, Microsoft made sign-in in much easier by simply selecting their details.

Also, the application's size has been decreased by 50%, so Word is now lighter and faster to install. Last but not least, Microsoft has added cloud font support, so users will now be able to download favorite font from the cloud so they can write with the fonts they like.

Android M for Enterprise support and Android for Work compliance

Microsoft Excel got slightly more changes, but some made to Word apply to this app as well, such as reduced app size, Android for Work compliance and Android M for Enterprise support.

Cloud font support has been added to Excel as well, so the only thing in the changelog that's not common to Word is improved file compatibility, so users can now open files with Read-only recommended and Formula view.

PowerPoint received similar improvements as the other two Microsoft apps. In addition to those, Microsoft added presenter view, which requires Office 365 subscription.

With presenter view, users will be able to check speaker notes directly on their Android smartphone and/or tablet, while at the same time they can control what the audience sees when they project to a large screen.

Keep in mind that Microsoft Office apps for Android are available as separated downloads on Google Play Store, and they're free to use.
