Microsoft is expected to unveil the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL flagships during a press event hosted in New York, but we already know pretty much everything there is to know about the two models.

Microsoft inadvertently listed the two phones online the other day and also released a bunch of official images of the two Windows 10 Mobile devices.

Can't get enough of the two upcoming devices? Well, a day before the grand unveiling, @OnLeaks is treating us to another image showing the Lumia 950 XL and its removable battery of 3,340 mAh capacity.

So there you have it folks, we can expect a hefty battery to be fueling the insides of the Lumia 950 XL, which will provide a sufficient life cycle.

What to expect from Microsoft's upcoming flagship?

Now, if you missed the scoop on the Lumia 950 XL, we’re taking the opportunity to remind you that the phone is set to arrive with a 5.7-inch WQHD (1440 x 2560 pixel resolution) OLED display and a Matte White or Black polycarbonate body. By contrast, Google’s latest flagship, the Nexus 6P which got unveiled a few days ago, features an all-metal body.

The Lumia 950 XL will be extracting its power from a Snapdragon 810 processor fitted with 3GB of RAM and backed up by 32GB of internal storage, with microSD card slot support (users can increase it up to 2TB if they feel they need it).

The handset is supposed to pack a 20MP PureView camera with f/1.9 and triple LED flash plus a 5MP wide-angle front facing camera. Unlike Google’s new Nexus devices, the Microsoft device will take advantage of an iris scanner (near-infrared) for Windows Hello and no fingerprint scanners.

We should also mention that the handset comes with support for Qi wireless charging, Glance Screen, rapid charge, and a USB Type-C port.

During the event, Microsoft is also going to unveil the lower-end Lumia 950, which will pack a 5.2-inch FHD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display, a Snapdragon 808 processor under the hood, and 3GB of RAM.

We’re quite curious to hear how the Redmond giant plans to price the two flagships, but as it appears at this point, they are going to be quite expensive.
