It's not a secret anymore that Microsoft's planning to launch two new high-end phones running Windows 10 Mobile on October 6, but we just got the official confirmation that these two devices are the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL.

Slides that Microsoft Mexico has shown to its employees (via WindowsStudio.mx) confirm what we already knew about the two devices, but this is pretty much the first time the company provides us with a closer glimpse at the upcoming flagships.

Lumia 950

The specs shown in the these internal slides confirm that the Lumia 950 will come with a 5.2-inch QuadHD display and will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, with 3GB of RAM to be offered for flawless performance in Windows 10 Mobile.

The device will come with a 20-megapixel PureView rear camera with OIS and what Microsoft calls “natural” dual flash, while for selfies and video calls, owners will get a 5-megapixel unit with a wide angle.

The Lumia 950 will feature 32 GB of internal space, but microSD card support will also be offered for more storage. USB Type-C will also be available, and so will a 3,000 mAh battery which should be enough to get you through the day.

Lumia 950 XL

As far as the bigger brother Lumia 950 XL is concerned, the device will feature a 5.7-inch display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor. The same cameras, storage and RAM amount will be offered, but the phablet will come with a 3,300 mAh battery because Microsoft expects the bigger display to need more juice.

Needless to say, both devices will support all features of Windows 10 Mobile, including Windows Hello for biometric authentication and Continuum, the revolutionary tool that converts a phone into a fully-featured PC in just a second.

The design of the two phones looks just like the one we've seen in the official Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL photos, so no surprise here. Pricing is yet to be disclosed, but more information will be revealed at Microsoft's event on October 6.
