With less than a week left until the end of the year, it's time to take a look at some of Microsoft's most important achievements in the smartphone business.

Windows 10 Mobile hasn't been officially released to Windows Phone 8.1 devices, but the first handsets powered by the new operating system have already landed on the market.

Unfortunately, Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL have received mixed reviews from critics and customers alike. We have already tested Microsoft's Lumia 950 XL and find it mediocre at best, but for more on that, you can check out our full review.

Faulty software is to blame for some delays

Microsoft's inability to offer a stable operating system on its flagship smartphones led to unusual situations where various carriers and retailers had to delay the launch of the Lumia 950 and / or Lumia 950 XL or postpone the delivery for a later date.

These delays were not caused by low or lack of stock but were due to faulty software that needed to be fixed at the last moment.

Obviously, there are many Windows Phone fans who upgraded from an older flagship and are content with their purchase. Lots of consumers find both Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL awesome and don't even think about Microsoft's next flagship smartphone just yet.

We have decided to ask for our readers' opinions on the matter to try and gain more insight on how they feel about their newly purchased Lumia 950/950 XL devices.

Even if you have not ordered any of Microsoft's new high-end Windows 10 smartphones yet, feel free to share your thoughts on the matter.

What do you think the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL lack to be the perfect flagships? If you feel they're already awesome for you, what other features you hope to receive in the not-so-distant future to make them even better? Let us know in the comments section.
