Lumia 650 is believed to be the next Microsoft device in the pipeline to see daylight, and according to recent reports, this is scheduled to happen on February 1.

And since we’re so close to the moment when Lumia 650 should hit the shelves, we also have the very first pricing details on the fourth Windows 10 Mobile device launched by Microsoft.

German site WinFuture claims that the Lumia 650 will go on sale in the country at O2 and will cost €219 ($238) without a contract and could be available at an even lower price on a 2-year contract with the carrier.

Pricing is very likely to be the same in the rest of the European markets, but expect it to be sold for less than $200 in the United States, especially because Microsoft is yet to bring a more affordable device in the country after the launch of the high-end Lumia 950 and 950 XL.

Technical specifications

Lumia 650 is expected to come with a 5-inch 720p display and be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor coupled with 1 GB of RAM. This should allow the device to run Windows 10 Mobile quite smoothly, but high-end features such as Continuum won’t be supported.

As you can see, the Lumia 650 is a mid-range Windows 10 Mobile handset, but it’ll still be a nice way to experience the latest Microsoft has to offer in the smartphone OS business.

Rumor has it that Lumia 650 could be “the last Lumia,” and while it’s not yet clear what this means, especially because Microsoft seems to be very keen on investments in mobile devices, it could also be a sign that the company is willing to focus more on high-end devices such as the Surface Phone.

There’s a lot of speculation going on right now, so let’s just wait until February 1, when the device goes live, and see what Microsoft is willing to share at that time.
