Microsoft recently announced it would kill some of its applications, but at the same time the Redmond-based company continues to launch other mobile apps.

One such app that has been recently released by Microsoft is called Xbox Avatars. Although the application was initially launched on Windows 10 for PC, it wasn't available in Windows Phone until recently.

As WMPU points out, the Xbox Avatars Universal application is now available for download for Windows 10 Mobile as well.

Windows Insiders that are now running Windows 10 Mobile technical preview will be able to download Xbox Avatars for free, as the app seems to work smoothly.

As the name suggests, Xbox Avatars allows users to customize their avatars, change them or take pictures of their avatars and share them with their friends.

Interact with your avatar using touch gestures

According to the app's list of features, Xbox Avatars offers users the option to edit their avatar’s look by picking new features, clothes, and accessories. In addition, users can create a new avatar for their Xbox account.

Obviously, since the app is available on both PC and mobiles, Xbox Avatars offers users the option to get all the features, clothes, and accessories from Xbox One on their desktop or on the go.

The application also includes many other features like the ability to interact with their avatar with keyboard, mouse or touch, as well as the option to take a picture with their avatar and save it to their device.

Xbox Avatars has less than 100 ratings on Windows Store, but an average of 4.7 out of 5.0. This means that it works well and does not have any major issues.

You can now download Xbox Avatars for Windows Phone for free via Windows Store. The application is only compatible with devices powered by Windows 10 Mobile.
