Microsoft has recently launched an artificial intelligent chat both on social networks and instant messaging services such as Twitter, Kik, and GroupMe and which simulates a conversation with a real person using answers personalized for you.

Specifically, Tay, which Microsoft says is targeted at 18- to 24-year-old people in the United States, can provide you with answers to almost every question you ask, looking at your profile and analyzing information that you share in order to personalize each line for you.

The more you chat with Tay, the smarter it gets, as it can learn new answers from the people it talks to on the aforementioned social networks.

Designed to entertain you

“Tay is an artificial intelligent chat bot developed by Microsoft's Technology and Research and Bing teams to experiment with and conduct research on conversational understanding. Tay is designed to engage and entertain people where they connect with each other online through casual and playful conversation. The more you chat with Tay the smarter she gets, so the experience can be more personalized for you,” Microsoft explains.

Tay automatically collects information such as nickname, gender, favorite food, zipcode, and relationship status, so don’t be too surprised if she responses with a remark about your girlfriend. Microsoft says that if you want to make Tay forget all the collected information it has about you, a message containing your username and associated platform submitted through the contact form is all you need.

Without a doubt, Tay is one of the most advanced chatbots online at this point, so you can give it a try right now by heading over to one of the aforementioned services and send her a message. On Twitter, if you want to get the conversation going, all you have to do is to type “@TayandYou hello there!” and let the fun begin. She should answer you in a couple of seconds.
