14 DAY TRIAL // Microsoft's engineers continue to develop for many platforms other than Windows Phone. The company's Project Garage has been pretty prolific in the last couple of months, as many mobile apps made it to Android, iOS, and some even to Windows Phone.
Today, the Redmond-based company silently released yet another mobile application aimed at iOS users. The new application is called Microsoft Selfie and is available for free via App Store.
The description of the application says everything we need to know about what the application has to offer: “Microsoft Selfie is a selfie and portrait enhancement application. The app takes age, gender, skin tone, lighting, and many other variables into account, applies different models automatically and finishes enhancement with just a single click.
“Users can transform average photos into more presentable portraits in seconds. Key features of this application are noise reduction, intelligent enhancement, automatic exposure and color theme.”
Let's hope Android and Windows Phone users will get it in the future
We would have expected Microsoft to make the application available to Windows Phone devices as well, but it appears that developers have decided the iPhones have better selfie cameras and are more worthy of their attention.
Microsoft Selfie is only available in iOS platform, but if it becomes popular among iPhone users, we suspect the Redmond-based company will launch the application on Android operating systems as well.
So, if you own an iOS device compatible with this app, you might want to try it out and see how it works. Hopefully, Windows Phone users will receive access to this application in the not-so-distant future as well.
Until then, you can now download Microsoft Selfie for iOS for free via App Store. The application should be fully compatible with all devices, including iPhone, iPad and, iPod touch, running iOS 8.0 or later.
