Microsoft has quietly introduced two new Surface Pro versions in the official Microsoft Store, and customers in the United States can purchase them right away.

First off, there’s the LTE-capable configuration of the Surface Pro that was announced earlier this year for business customers. Microsoft Surface Pro with built-in LTE is available for consumers right now, and it comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. It costs $1,1449 in the United States.

Additionally, Microsoft appears to be making some quiet changes to the entry-level configuration of the Surface Pro as well.

The company has introduced a new configuration powered by a Core i5 processor and paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB SSD storage. Customers can buy it from the Microsoft Store for $999.

There’s a chance that Microsoft could use this as the new base version of the Surface Pro lineup, as the previous entry-level configuration is currently sold out in the Microsoft.

It was available with a Core i5 processor, but 4GB RAM and 128GB SSD storage. Its price was originally set to $999, but was later discounted to $799, so there’s a chance that Microsoft wants the most affordable configuration to offer better value for the money.

There’s no word just yet on whether the company plans to retire the 4GB RAM version, but it’s been out of stock for quite some time in the Microsoft Store.

As for what’s next for the Surface lineup, it’s believed a new mobile device part of the Surface brand could see daylight later this year, though for the time being very little is known in this regard. Product refreshes are still an enigma for the time being, as 2017 has been a rather busy year for the Surface team, with hardware upgrades launched for the Surface Pro and the Surface Book, as well as a new Surface Laptop going live in the spring.
