Want better graphics at a lower price? You got it

Microsoft's Surface Book is pretty much the most powerful competitor to Apple's MacBook Pro, and it comes with the latest in terms of hardware, but also with a pretty hefty price, especially for the top-of-the-range models.

Essentially, models that feature NVIDIA graphics, which make the device more appropriate for gaming, video and photo editing, are a little bit more expensive than the standard counterparts, so you have to spend at least a couple hundred dollars more to get this version.

Today, however, Microsoft has introduced a new Surface Book configuration with NVIDIA card that allows customers to enjoy the increased graphics processing power without paying too much.

The base model, which comes with an Intel Core i5 processor, 128 GB of storage space, and 8 GB of RAM, can be upgraded in two different ways: either with more storage or with an NVIDIA graphics card.

No matter the option you choose, pricing is increased from $1,499 (€1,350) for the base model to $1,699 (€1,530), so you have to pay an extra $200 (€180) for 256 GB of storage or NVIDIA power.

The rest of the specs remain unchanged

The other specs are exactly the same as before, so you get the same awesome 13.5-inch PixelSense display with a resolution of 3000x2000 pixels and 10-point multi-touch support, an 8-megapixel camera on the back, and 5.0-megapixel unit on the front, 10800p HD video recording, and front-facing stereo speakers with Dolby audio.

The top-of-the-range model, however, comes with 1 TB of storage space, an Intel i7 processor, and 16 GB of RAM, but the rest of the specs are pretty much the same.

Obviously, the higher you go in terms of hardware upgrades, the more you have to pay, so this most powerful Surface Book model costs no less than $3,199 (€2,950). It ships in early 2016.
